The Fertile Court: Birthplace of Basketball

I hated Kansas in graduate school.

Well, that's not entirely true. I attended grad school with a guy who had liberal views on personal hygeine and personal space, and he loved Kansas. He would often tell us stories about how he'd been asked by Roy Williams to be a walk-on, even though his game was like Communism: good on paper. Every tournament season, he'd have KU going all the way, and bash Kentucky if only to get under my skin. We've long since moved on, me, him and Roy, and I find myself appreciative of the great city of Lawrence once more.

How can I hate, or even mildly dislike, a team whose history is that of the game itself? How can I hate a team whose most famous coach produced both Dean Smith and Adolph Rupp? I can't. So, it's time to come clean, publically. I'm a Jayhawk fan.

Just not in the second round.

are you saying that you are UK fan? When did this happen? I would like to hear how you became a Kentucky fan?
KU beat UK the last few time they have played...like you said, last year Brandon Rush scored a million in his first meeting. The year before that, KU won on the back of Keith Langford when he took over the game. If you rememebr correctly, KU didn't have there best player, Wayne Simien was out for an injury. And before that, the last time they played against each other was when Rick was coaching and Roy ran the score up! i beleive that the final score was 200 - 80. Again, how are you a Kentucky fan? If you liek them because of their history and tradition, then that is something that i can understand, but if you like them becasue Ashley Judd does...i'm going to smack you the next time i see you.

P.s. i'm looking for a KU flag to hang outside of my house...help me out!
